Description

Topics covered include: cost and worth comparison, capital costs, time value of money, replacement economics, taxes, economic efficiency of alternate designs, minimum costs and maximum benefits, risk and uncertainty. Students will learn how to apply economics to engineering in projects with identification of constraints in order to ensure projects are feasible and efficiently designed and completed. Prerequisites: MATH1215 or higher. Offered: Fall
