Description
This introductory course, writing for the Screen and Stage I, is first in a three-part series of courses related to the craft of writing scripts for the screen and stage. Students will be introduced to paradigms for playwriting scripts and the motion picture screenplay structure. Students will also be introduced to the basic elements of playwriting. Students will study concepts developed by successful scriptwriters and playwrights, both Native and non-native. Students will practice scriptwriting techniques and explore concepts of character development while crafting the first twenty pages of a full length script for either the stage or the screen. Pre-requisite ENGL2310. Offered: Spring.
