Description

This course is designed to prepare early childhood professionals for promoting children?s emergent literacy and reading development. The course lays the foundation for early childhood professionals to become knowledge about literacy development in young children. An integrated language arts perspective and an interdisciplinary approach as it addresses the developing abilities in writing, reading, and oral language in the home and school contexts will be discussed.
