Description

The goal of the course is to learn how to analyze and apply the Dine Beehaz’aanii Bitse Silei (Dine Fundamental Laws) in modern times. Students will analyze legal and non-legal issues using Nitsahakees, Nahata, Ina, Siihasin. Students will examine the laws within which indigenous people in the United States, and particularly in the Navajo Nation, live and which impact their communities and nations in light of the four cardinal direction paradigm. Prerequisite: LAW-208. Offered: Spring.
