Police Officer are subject to considerable pressure in their job, but must realize that they work inside a community and that part of their job is to maintain good relationships with the citizens of that community. Community-policing is today considered the linchpin in creating and maintaining an effective police force. This is especially important in the Navajo Nation where culture plays such an important role in community life.
