Description
This course provides a review of practical mathematics required for accurate and safe medication administration. The content is arranged for a progression of basic to more complex information. Students will be assisted to learn and understand their individual strengths and weaknesses in math and build on this information. Practice is given in dosage calculations across the lifespan, skills required for accurate oral and injectable drug dosage calculations, and reading and interpreting drug orders and labeling. Introductory information is given for intravenous therapy. Offered: Fall, Spring.
