Description

This course will focus on techniques for resolving disputes by the people (as owners of the problems) and finding resolutions by “talking things out” as opposed to adversarial litigation by private parties or the government. Other topics include alternative conflict resolution models including: Restorative justice, wellness courts, family group conferencing, and other indigenous or non-indigenous-based methodologies. Prerequisite: LAW-208. Offered: Spring
