Description
This course is a study of the substance and process of criminal case from initial contact between police and suspect through sentencing. Students will become familiar with essential elements of criminal statutes and defenses to crime. Emphasis will be on the Navajo Rules of Criminal Procedure and the Navajo Nation Code, Title 17, with some attention to the relevant federal rules and criminal statutes. Offered: Spring.
