Description
This course teaches vocabulary and grammar, as well as techniques to strengthen reading comprehension. Using skills-based exercises, reading silently and aloud, and writing exercises, students will improve both their reading and writing skills. In addition to lecture hours, students are required to participate in computer labs as assigned, and individual tutoring if recommended in order to complete the course successfully. Students must earn a grade of C or better in order to advance to the next English level. Prerequisite: A grade of C or higher in ENG-096 or satisfactory placement scores.
