Description
This course is designed to prepare early childhood professionals to promote children's emergent literacy and reading development. The course lays the foundation for early childhood professionals to become knowledgeable about literacy development in young children. An intergrated language arts perspective and an interdisciplinary approach as it addresses the developing abilities in wrting, reading, and oral language in the home and school contexts will be discussed.
