Description
This course is an introductory survey of Anatomy, Physiology and Ecology of Microorganisms. Emphasis on the characteristics of microbes (Particularly the Pathogenic Bacteria- Archaea and Eubacteria). It will also cover Protistians, Fungi Viruses Helminths, Algae, and Arthropods of medical importance. Within this context, bacterial techniques, host-parasite relationships and infection and immunity will be covred. Prerequisite: BIO-120 or BIO-122 or permission of the instructor.
