Description

This course provides background in the anatomy and physiology of animals. The course covers the structure and function of each body system, including skeletal, muscular, circulatory, integumentary, respiratory, cardiovascular, urogenital, reproductive, nervous, and endocrine. This course will also cover basic physiology principles, metabolism, digestion, acid-base balance, immunity, and unique characteristics of common domestic species. Applied laboratory experiences are included. Prerequisites: BIO 120, CHM 120, ENG 110 or 111 or 112, MTH 121, and NAV 101 or higher. Students must earn 75% or better to advance to the next level of courses in the major. This course in only offered in the fall semester.
